Thoughts &/or Questions to Pastor Tim

What has happened to the Church's view of marriage?

God doesn't change. So someone has changed their view on marriage. For a long time, the church universal believed that marriage is a life time covenant between one man and one woman However, the church in the United States of America and in other post modern countries has shifted to a potpourri view of marriage that lets human lust define what ever makes the individuals feel good.

In the following weeks, I plan to review Scriptures that pertain to marriage. I want to look at their context, their understood meaning at the time the passage was written, and how that meaning applies to us today. I am sure this will cause quite some conversation, especially as we shift from theology to application.

As I begin this journey with you, I am reminded of the Holy Scriptures, in 1 Corinthians 16:13-14: "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love." It is my love for the Lord and the millions of struggling couples in the church, in this nation, and around the world, that I want to lift my voice up to clear the air on what the Bible says about the theology of marriage.
